First Date Rules And Details

The first date can actually be an uncomfortable moment, especially if you do not know your partner. In case you are afraid of messing this up, you need to keep in mind a few things. As long as you follow these simple first date rules, I am sure that you will have a memorable first date, one that can help you move to the next level.

Sometimes, girls and women can be hard to please, and this is why you need to do your best in order to make the date worth it. You need to plan everything from the start, to avoid incoming surprises and the most important to impress her with your actions. Therefore, to make your first date perfect and to make a good impression, you should keep in mind the following rules.

1. Always have a backup plan.

No matter how many times you confirm your plans, of how solid you think they are, sometimes, something wrong might happen, and your whole date is going to be ruined. Perhaps, the restaurant where you want to go has some problems, or one of you runs into an ex, the band you plan to attend was cancelled. No matter what plans you planned for the first date, make sure you always have a backup plan, just in case something else happens.

2. Short date only

In order to avoid getting bored or boring your companion, you should think about planning a short date. A first date can easily change everything, so you need to be very careful when planning the details. Try keeping your first date to no more than two hours. Then, if things really go well, you can always extend to a date longer, later. However, in this way, you will not feel anxious, you will have something to talk about, and you will enjoy your date.

3. Do not be late

There is nothing worse than a date that is late. So, do not show up late at the first date since you might end up being stood up. The girl does not like to wait for a boy, especially if this is the first time she sees it. Since first dates are stressful enough, make a point of being there on time.

4. Agree on details

Here is where you need to talk in advance, to know what you want to do for the first date, to share with her the same details, so she could wear something appropriate. If you are going to attend a band, she will have to wear casual clothes, but if you choose to take her to a restaurant, she will have to wear something elegant. In both cases, you will have to agree on what to wear. After all, if this is your first date, you will want to know what she is wearing in order to recognize her.

5. Give appropriate compliments

If you find something that catches your eyes on your partner, do not be afraid to say it. However, do not exaggerate with compliments and say only the right things. Anything more than two or three compliments will make you should desperate, and this is not the kind of first impression you want to make. Choose your words carefully, and do not make her feel uncomfortable. Also, be sincere, honest, and flattering, but try to keep the first date compliments to things you would not feel comfortable hearing about yourself.
